About Josh
Josh Czupryk is the founder and sole operator of Josh's K12 Jobs Blast, the free, confidential, open-source job board dedicated exclusively to K12 leadership and transitioning educators.
Launched in 2022 and curated weekly by Josh himself, the platform indexes every leadership vacancy from more than 275 charter network, EdTech, and non-profit career sites nationwide, and Josh personally curates each role by department, level, and geography to ease the search for job seekers. Beyond the board, Josh publishes job market analyses, provides open-source job seeker resources, and has launched an executive search practice, partnering with 11 organizations to place 18 school and system leaders over the past year.
Josh's K12 Jobs Blast has grown into a network of 13,000+ active and verified members across all fifty states, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico (78% women, 47% educators of color). The bi-monthly Jobs Blast newsletter now generates more than 500,000 annual reads, drives 190,000+ website visits, and delivers over 200,000 direct candidate clicks to live postings each year. The companion LinkedIn community has reached 67,000 followers and 11 million impressions over the past two years.
By providing real-time salary transparency, market intelligence, and resources to both candidates and hiring organizations, the platform accelerates equitable hiring and helps retain the experienced, diverse leaders inside K12 education that students, families, and communities need most.
Currently a board member of the University of Florida Alumni Association LGBTQ+ Affiliate Network, leader of the LGBTQ+ Affinity Group for the Broad Center at Yale SOM, and board member at the Diverse Learners Cooperative, Josh brings deep practitioner and volunteer experience to the work. His career spans classroom teaching (Teach For America β Mississippi Delta Corps 2007), school and network leadership roles (Chief Academic & Operations Officer, Chief Strategy & Operations Officer, Chief of Staff, Managing Director of Academics), and system-level strategy across public, charter, and laboratory schools.
Josh holds a master's in educational leadership from The Broad Center (2018), now The Broad Center at Yale School of Management, and dual bachelor's degrees in public relations and political science from the University of Florida (2007). He is currently a dissertation-stage PhD candidate at the University of Memphis in Learning Sciences, reframing social motivation theory through Autistic voices.
The son of two lifelong public-school teachers, Josh lives in Atlanta, Georgia with his partner Bailey Cato Czupryk and their two sons, Grayson and Jack. He remains driven by a single conviction: every single kid deserves great leaders in their school and we, as adults, have the power to make that happen with equitable, transparent hiring.
