Job Description The Vice President of Marketing and Communications serves as a senior leader responsible for amplifying BridgePrep Academy's brand, elevating the organization's story, and driving student recruitment and enrollment across all BridgePrep and SMART-managed schools. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the VP of Marketing and Communications ensures high-impact marketing, communications, and recruitment strategies that attract passionate students and dedicated staff aligned with the network's mission and vision. This role oversees student and family recruitment, staff marketing, brand stewardship, social media, digital marketing, and analytics to support network growth and full enrollment.
The VP oversees strategy development and execution, partners with school leaders and the Talent Team, manages media buys and campaigns, and builds systems for lead generation, conversion, and ongoing engagement. This role drives the systems, expectations, and routines that elevate brand perception, enrollment results, and community engagement across 21+ campuses.
Key Activities
Student and Family Recruitment
Develop and implement comprehensive student recruitment strategies, partnering closely with school leaders, to attract and drive student enrollment for all campuses year-round.
Oversee organization-wide student registration processes, ensuring smooth onboarding and a positive experience for new students and their families.
Develop targeted recruitment plans tailored to the unique needs and demographics of each campus/area.
Plan, organize, and manage recruitment/community events and information sessions to engage prospective students and families, showcasing BridgePrep's curriculum, offerings, and benefits.
Conduct regular observations and assessments of campus recruitment efforts to evaluate effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Provide customer service training to staff involved in the recruitment process to ensure a welcoming and informative experience for prospective families.
Student and Staff Marketing
Lead the development and implementation of a student marketing strategy to drive toward enrollment targets and goals.
Partner with the Talent Team to establish a marketing strategy to drive toward network and school hiring goals.
Work with established media partner(s) to plan and place media buys across media markets to support recruitment campaigns; drive the execution of materials, including writing creative briefs, copywriting, and providing design direction.
Manage all social media platforms and school-specific postings to protect BridgePrep Academy's brand.
Track applicant acquisition costs and stay within designated ceilings.
Build and execute an e-marketing strategy end-to-end, with a focus on generating and nurturing leads to applicant conversion: includes planning, targeting, set-up, testing, execution, reporting, and optimization.
Create and oversee an analytics infrastructure to track and monitor all efforts across online marketing channels.
Brand Stewardship and Marketing
Lead brand campaigns geared at positioning BridgePrep as a leader in education, a high-quality network of schools, and a values-driven organization.
Craft and lead a compelling brand narrative for BridgePrep Academy that inspires, informs, and engages families, students, staff, and the broader community.
Envision and lead paid media campaigns for brand awareness.
Serve as the point-person for developing, implementing, and executing marketing initiatives and activities for BridgePrep.
Project manage incoming requests that fall outside the scope of established marketing campaigns.
Analyze brand positioning and consumer insights by establishing baseline brand awareness metrics and developing systems to improve and measure over time.
Drive BridgePrep's social media efforts, including campaign creation and execution, driving traffic and engagement to organizational pages.
Lead efforts on social media reputation management, including daily monitoring of comments and messages across channels, and propose strategies and messages to build and protect the brand.
Provide campus-level resources, training, and best practices for managing campus social media pages by creating and distributing the monthly social media newsletter and leading bi-weekly social media calls.

Reporting Structure
Reports to: Chief Operations Officer Manages: Marketing and Recruitment Team (3 professionals) Collaborates with: School Leaders, Talent Team, Academic Team, and Operations Team
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Education, Business Administration, or a related field
At least 2+ years managing and leading a team, preferably in a school setting
At least 5-7+ years of professional experience with an emphasis in student recruitment and enrollment, project management, relationship development, pipeline management, life cycle programs, and a strong track record of results
Experience designing, implementing, and leading large cross-functional projects from inception to completion
Experience managing large and complex data sets and synthesizing information to inform strategies and drive decision-making
Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) preferred
Must live in Florida or relocate to Florida for the position
Valid Florida Driver's License and reliable vehicle for transportation
Ability to travel 50%-60% of the time in assigned areas, as required (mileage and travel reimbursement provided)
