Position: Vice President of Schools

Location: Florida, preferably Tampa, Orlando or Miami areas

Compensation: $115,000 - $175,000

Job Description

The Vice President of Schools (VP of Schools) serves as a senior school leader within the BridgePrep network team, directly managing and coaching a portfolio of 8-15 schools. Reporting to the Chief Schools Officer, the VP of Schools is accountable for ensuring that each school in their portfolio achieves ambitious academic and organizational health goals while cultivating strong school leadership.

This role includes building systems for coaching, accountability, and professional learning; aligning schools to network-wide priorities; and ensuring each school has the leadership and support needed to deliver on the network’s brand promises of (1) providing the best education in the community the school is located, (2) ensuring every child graduates fluent in two global languages, and (3) creating a space to foster physical and emotional wellness.

Key Activities

School Leadership Coaching and Development

  • Conduct biweekly coaching sessions with principals to drive school improvement

  • Support leadership teams in building instructional capacity and strong school cultures.

Performance Management

  • Lead data reviews and accountability meetings; track progress toward goals.

  • Intervene strategically when schools are off track, mobilizing network resources.

Network Leadership

  • Collaborate with Academic, Operations, and Talent teams to ensure coherence and support.

  • Serve as thought partner to Chief Schools Officer (CSO) on network-wide strategy.

Scaling and Growth

  • Support launch and integration of new schools, ensuring readiness and sustainability.

  • Mentor new principals and leadership fellows as part of the pipeline strategy.

Culture; Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships with school boards, families, and community partners.

Mission

Ensure that a portfolio of 8-15 schools achieves exceptional academic and organizational health outcomes through strong school leadership development, data-driven decision-making, and strategic partnership.

Success in Year 1:

  • Portfolio reaches their campus level goals: improve a school letter grade (A schools maintain the A), 85% teacher retention, 90% student persistence, 85% K-2 reading on grade level

  • All schools are fully enrolled

  • Launch at least one new campus

  • 85% principal retention

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to: Chief Schools Officer

  • Manages: 8-15 School Principals

  • Collaborates with: Academic Team, Finance Team, and Operations Team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution (Master’s preferred)

  • At least 3+ years of teaching experience; 3+ years of principal experience; proven track record of achieving success and leading others
